Our 2-Week Puppy Board & Train program is designed to lay a solid foundation for young puppies (10-16 weeks), ensuring they are set up for future success. You’ll stay connected through direct communication with your trainer and receive daily video updates of your dog’s progress.
TRAINING ELEMENTS
- POTTY TRAINING: Focus on crate training, consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and “go potty” cues.
- SOCIALIZATION & EXPOSURE: Controlled introduction to new environments, people, dogs, varied surfaces, and common sounds (vacuum, traffic).
- PLAY & ENGAGEMENT: Mental enrichment using structured play (tug/fetch) and interactive toys like Kongs or puzzle feeders.
- BASIC COMMANDS (Intro): Using positive reinforcement for Sit, Down, Place, and creative free-shaping behaviors.
- HOUSE MANNERS: Teaching boundaries, no chewing inappropriate items, and implementing house rules (no begging or stealing food).
- GREETING & DOOR MANNERS: Focus on calm greetings (no jumping) and impulse control when entering or exiting doors.
- LEASH MANNERS: Introduction to loose-leash walking and practicing the heel position.
- GROOMING & VET DESENSITIZATION: Positive exposure to brushes, nail trimmers, and handling of paws, ears, and mouth.
PROGRAM DETAILS
At the end of the program, your trainer will meet with you for a transition session (2+ hours) to review everything learned and show you how to maintain their new skills.
- Age Requirement: 10 to 16 weeks old.
- Vaccinations: Must have at least 2 rounds of core vaccinations (DHLPP).
- Included: Slip-leash provided.
Note: This program focuses on foundations. Due to developmental stages, there is no guarantee of command proficiency or off-leash control.
