Some owners find us on the first phone call. Piper’s owner found us on the last one.
You can read Piper’s full review on Google – everything below comes straight from her owner’s experience.
Where Piper Started
Piper is reactive toward other dogs. Her owner had contacted and interviewed several local trainers before she reached Off Leash K9 Training Amarillo, which tells you two things: the problem was serious enough to be worth being picky about, and she had already heard several answers she did not believe.
The Training Journey
She met Logan for an initial interview, and by the end of it she knew she had found a trainer who could work with her and Piper on the reactivity. They worked through private lessons, week by week, with the owner handling her own dog the entire time.
That structure is deliberate. A reactive dog does not just need new behavior, the person on the other end of the leash needs new timing, new reading, and a plan for the moment another dog appears. Lessons put the owner in the middle of the work rather than at the end of it.
Piper’s Wins
Her owner’s summary after the lessons ended: they made a ton of progress, and she knows she has the tools to keep improving now that the sessions are over. She says she will miss her weekly lessons with Logan, which is not a sentence people write about training that felt like a chore.
What It Changed for Her Family
Reactivity is exhausting in a way that is hard to explain to people who have not lived with it. Every walk is a scan. What changed for Piper’s owner is that she stopped feeling like a passenger. She has a method now, and she can use it without anybody standing next to her.
Why Piper’s Story Matters
Reactivity work is not a two-week fix and we will not pretend otherwise. It is a skill the owner learns alongside the dog, and it keeps paying out for years. Piper’s story is the honest version: real progress, and a person who can carry it forward on her own.
